About the Academy
Worldwide Fencing Academy specializes in foil fencing in Springfield, New Jersey. We welcome beginners and experienced fencers, offering group classes and private lessons that build technique, fitness, tactical awareness, and confidence.
Meet Coach Boris Paghiev
Boris Paghiev is the owner and head coach of Worldwide Fencing Academy and a former captain of Moldova’s national fencing team. He has been coaching in the United States since 2015 and has trained medalists at regional, national, and international competitions.
His coaching background includes the Children and Youth Sports School of Olympic Reserve in Moldova, where he trained four fencers who represented Moldova on its cadet and junior national teams.
At WFA, Boris combines structured training with individual guidance to help fencers build strong fundamentals, develop tactical awareness, and compete with confidence.
